Navigating Imposter Syndrome
Online Workshop

“My sincere thanks again for delivering such a helpful, warm and much-needed training resource to our Connect cohort….I met with one of our mentees yesterday…and they commented on how helpful this training was as they take on a more senior role in the industry. It was heart-warming to see their growth in confidence and to hear that they’d put some of your tools into practice, so a huge thanks for that.” Cassandra Neal, New Talent and Industry Manager, BAFTA

Overview

  • An engaging, experiential and practical online workshop designed to give participants a good understanding of Imposter Syndrome plus the means to navigate their ‘imposter’ experiences with greater awareness, confidence and trust, helping them express, fulfil and contribute more of their potential.

  • This highly practical session builds awareness and resilience in a relatively short (2.5 hour) but highly impactful session and is ideal for people who are interested in my flagship online course but cannot commit to a learning journey of 4 weeks.

  • Navigating Imposter Syndrome has proved very popular (client list below) and I now offer a public version (open to everyone) and a bespoke version (for teams and groups of colleagues within the same organisation).

Next public workshop

  • I will be offering this workshop on 4 occasions in the period Jan-March 2025. These will be the last opportunities to take this training with me.

  • If you would like to join my mailing list and be alerted to these final dates and times as I confirm them, please contact me.

  • In 2025, fees per person for this workshop are as follows:

    • £95.00 – Standard rate (choose this option if you/your organisation have sufficient financial resources for this experience).

    • £75.00 – Discounted rate (choose this option if you have limited financial resources and would benefit from supported access to this workshop).

    • £45.00 – Scholarship rate (2 places are available at this rate; choose this option if you have limited resources, have difficulty saving due to less reliable income or pay, or if you live in a country where earning power is less).

  • Places are limited to 12 for this session and are available on a first come, first served basis.

  • The session lasts 2.5 hours and is conducted live via Zoom. Please note due to the confidential nature of this workshop, it will not be recorded.

Dedicated workshops

I offer dedicated Navigating Imposter Syndrome workshops for groups of colleagues within the same organisation. (That said, I have run this workshop for larger groups with encouraging feedback). Please contact me to discuss your needs.

Not-for-profit organisations:

  • For 2025, the fee for this workshop for 6-12 colleagues working within not-for-profit organisations is £975.

  • If your group is significantly smaller than 12 and/or the above pricing is genuinely beyond your means, please feel free to contact me and we can discuss your needs.

  • Please contact me for a no-obligation conversation about your needs.

Is this for you?

  • This workshop is for you if you are seeking to:

    • gain a sound understanding of imposter syndrome, including the most common psychological, emotional and somatic ‘symptoms’;

    • understand the link between Imposter Syndrome and low self-confidence, limiting and debilitating beliefs, an active ‘inner critic’, excessive self-doubt and comparison, and exhausting ‘compensatory’ behaviours (e.g. people pleasing, perfectionism);

    • better understand how imposter syndrome is impacting you, particularly where it may be holding you back;

    • enhance your awareness of the behaviours and situations most likely to activate your imposter ‘symptoms’;

    • understand the key cultural and systemic drivers of Imposter Syndrome exploring how it impacts different genders, racialised groups, and people from oppressed or marginalised backgrounds;

    • aquire a range of practical skills which help you navigate imposter experiences more creatively, compassionately and effectively;

    • ask questions and bring live ‘imposter’ issues questions for skilled and compassionate coaching/mentoring in a safe, courageous and supportive environment;

    • grow in personal and professional confidence.

Guide to content

  • A blend of knowledge-sharing, interactive segments, self-inquiry, small group work in break-out rooms, experiential practices plus discussion with individual and group coaching/mentoring as time permits.

  • We will explore knowledge and insights from a range of disciplines and wisdom traditions plus proven skills, models and practices which cultivate imposter resilience and resourcefulness, immediately and over time.

  • Content is informed by the 7 years I’ve spent exploring and teaching this work, and continues to evolve in response to emerging wisdom and practices. The session is also shaped and informed by the lived experiences of the people who have engaged with my work in this area during this time.

  • Navigating Imposter Syndome is designed for groups of up to 12 colleagues to allow time for inquiry, reflection, practice, sharing and discussion, and questions.

  • Please contact me for full details and/or an informal chat about your learning needs.

Before and after

  • Before this workshop, participants are sent a short document featuring Group Agreements, a recommended TED talk and some optional inquiry questions to explore in advance.

  • To deepen your exploration of key themes and practices, after the workshop, I provide a curated selection of resources to support your on-going journey.

Learning environment

  • Navigating Imposter Syndrome has been designed to invite your curiosity, openness and courage in the name of your and the group’s growth and learning.

  • We will journey together as a safe, respectful and supportive group in which we are present to each other as we share our experiences.

  • There are opportunities to share throughout. Your personal reflections and experiences are welcomed and encouraged, with no pressure to share if you do not wish to.

  • This work can be particularly impactful for women and people of all genders from non-dominant cultural backgrounds or from marginalised and/or oppressed groups. That said, increasing numbers of men are coming to this work and sharing their ‘imposter’ experiences. My aim is to create safe, supportive and welcoming spaces for everyone drawn to this session.

Format

  • Navigating Imposter Syndome is facilitated as a live interactive session via Zoom;

  • The workshop lasts 2.5 hours with a short comfort break midway.
